I enjoy having digital notes for searchability and backups. Also, my brain naturally stores information as a DAG which maps nicely to directories and files. All the extra stuff provided by tools like obsidian get in my way.

I find Nix's declarative model to provisioning far easier to maintain then an ansible playbook for my computers

I used tiling wm's before this. But I got tired of setting up applets for things like dynamic multimonitor selection and bluetooth. Cosmic just works for me (and the tiling meets my needs).

Literally the only reason I like zsh is because I like the syntax for customizing the right hand side of my prompt better then bash.

I just like modal text editing. Neovim was the default choice for this at the time and I've never felt the need to switch since.
